Healthcare Beyond Our Hospital Walls, Serving Our Community

Botshilu Cares supports our community through school health education, environmental clean-up initiatives like Keeping Soshanguve Clean, and elderly care through our Bagodi programme.

Why We Care

Private healthcare sometimes creates perception of serving only those who can afford it, building walls between hospitals and surrounding communities facing poverty, inequality, and limited access to quality services.

We reject that model. Botshilu Private Hospital operates within communities facing significant challenges. We cannot provide world-class healthcare to paying patients whilst ignoring the needs of children attending under-resourced schools, elderly residents living in poverty without access to quality medical care, or neighbourhoods suffering from environmental neglect affecting health and dignity.

Excellence without social responsibility isn’t excellence, it’s privilege divorced from purpose.

Botshilu Cares is our commitment that quality healthcare includes responsibility to entire community, not occasional token gestures but sustained focused programmes addressing real needs with measurable impact.

Welcome to healthcare that extends beyond hospital walls.

These programmes aren’t charity, they’re justice, community partnership, and recognition that healthcare providers have responsibility beyond treating paying patients.

Together, we’re building healthier, cleaner, more educated, and more equitable communities where everyone, regardless of ability to pay, can access dignity, healthcare, opportunity, and hope.

Our Community Programmes

Botshilu Cares for Bagodi

“Bagodi” means elderly in Sepedi, honouring our elders who deserve dignity, respect, and quality healthcare regardless of financial circumstances.

Our elderly deserve final years characterised by dignity and quality medical care, not pain and neglect. This programme honours their contributions whilst fulfilling our responsibility tothe  community.
