In memoriam of Stan Rothbart

STANLEY MERVYN ROTHBART (1947-2024)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stan Rothbart, founding director of Phelang Bonolo Healthcare (PBH) Group and Botshilu Private Hospital, attorney at law and mentor to Dr Rampedi and the leadership at PBH.

Stan was instrumental in the creation and implementation of Dr Rampedi’s healthcare vision and provided his unwavering support, guidance and wisdom from the inception of PBH and Botshilu until his last days.

Stan was a well-respected experienced legal practitioner with long-standing expertise in the healthcare industry. He has served on several healthcare companies’ boards and enjoyed a renowned reputation as an advisor to several successful black-owned companies.

Stan’s dedication to the PBH Group and the provision of his services, time and expertise reflect his generosity and commitment to helping others. His contributions and support to charities like The Selwyn Segal Hostel and his role as a protector of the disadvantaged highlighted his resolute commitment to making a positive impact.

Stan was a veracious protector of the vulnerable and was a pillar of strength to those communities he served.

The PBH Group would like to honour Stan for his immense contribution to the PBH community and all of the lives that he touched. We will forever remember Stan and cherish our memories of him.

Stan is survived by his wife Sheryl, son Jon and daughter Toni, his grandchildren, and extended family.
