ARMED ROBBERY AT BOTSHILU PRIVATE HOSPITAL
Pretoria, Soshanguve –There was an armed robbery at Botshilu Private Hospital, targeting the ATM machine onsite on Saturday, 16 July 2022, at approximately 23:00 pm. We are grateful that our doctors, staff, and patients were not harmed in the process of the robbery. The matter has since been reported to the South African Police Services and hope the perpetrators will be brought to book following investigations.
The Management of Botshilu Private Hospital will continue to put the safety of its doctors, staff, and patients first. “We condemn such criminal acts, particularly in health facilities that are meant to serve and save the lives of community members in distress. Putting the lives of doctors, nurses, and all health workers in danger, is a disservice to the community they serve,” says Dr MJ Rampedi, CEO and Founder of Botshilu Private Hospital.
“We urge the community to report these criminals to the police if they hear or see anything related to this heinous crime, in order to safeguard the continued provision of health care services to the community,” concludes Dr Rampedi.
