Dr Ntshiele Ruth Hlatshwayo, affectionately also known as Lerato, studied for a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBChB) which she completed in 2007 and qualified as a Medical Practitioner at the University of Limpopo (MEDUNSA). She subsequently did her internship in one of the Gauteng hospitals, followed by community service in the Limpopo province.

Dr Hlatshwayo decided to pursue her passion in medicine after releasing how much people needed specialised care, particularly in medical conditions. She then went to specialise in internal medicine in which she qualified as a Specialist Physician. She also completed her master’s degree in internal medicine with Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU).

Dr Hlatshwayo is extremely passionate about what she does, and her specialised interest are rheumatological diseases, particularly autoimmune disease which mostly affects young women in their reproductive stage.
